Farnborough International Airshow 2026

Artificial intelligence (AI), you can barely open a news or LinkedIn feed without immediately read about it. The hype is real, but what does AI actually mean for the aviation sector?

On Thursday the 28th of May 2026, Jong NLR and Young NAG are joining forces for an afternoon meetup at NLR Amsterdam to explore and discuss AI Applications in Aviation and to demystify some of the buzz.

The program features pitches on AI projects from NLR and NAG member companies, followed by an open discussion on where AI stands in aviation today and where it’s heading. After the discussion, we’ll take you on an exclusive tour of two of NLR’s flagship research facilities: the NARSIM (National Air Traffic Control Simulator) and the VCNS (Virtual Control and Navigation Suite).

We’ll cap it off at ’t Ketelhuis, NLR’s very own on-site ‘bar’!
