Over the past few weeks, AeroNL has held exploratory conversations with organisations across the sector about the people it depends on.
The talks focused on four related topics: staff shortages, career changers entering from other sectors, training, and the transition from training into the workplace. The organisations we spoke with reflect the breadth of the sector. They included SMEs, large enterprises, and educational institutions, including the College van Belanghebbenden Luchtvaartonderwijs.
The conversations point in a clear direction. There is enough interest to bring all parties together and develop a joint strategy that addresses these issues in both the short and the long term. Bringing employers and educational institutions to the same table makes that approach possible, and every organisation that contributes helps shape the outcome.
